I've never used sfill, though I have filled free space with dd if=/dev/zero of=file in the past.

ext2explore usually works but occasionally I don't see all of the folders which are in my home directory. This is not caused by having very recently filled free space. Right now I see the same problem in 2.1.65, 2.2.70, 2.2.71 and ext2explore-debug-latest.zip. Maybe this is related to the following in the log:

Error reading Inode 0 parent inode 808809.

Hi!Don't know if this can help, but i just found out that the ext2 hard drive had some bad blocks. Maybe the application quits when trying to read from bad clusters?

I'm having a similar problem under Windows XP reading an ext partition on a USB drive. My XP, however, cannot be considered as a fresh install... :)

No suggestions, fixes or workarounds?
