It must be completed first". When trying to complete an encryption using truecrypt's resume interrupted process under the volumes menu I get this error: "An attempt was made to move the file pointer before the beginning of the file". If I try using extcv again it says "An error occurred when attempting to mount volume". Is there any hope for recovering the 600+GB of data?

Expand a partition(encrypted with TrueCrypt 7.0a) possible?

Hi.

Nice little tool. Works perfectly with file containers.
But i'm having problems with partition encryption.

Let's say for example:
01. I add a another drive to a existing RAID6 array that gives me a extra 3 TB.
02. When trying to expand the existing partition with Acronis Disk Director will not allow me to resize(grow) the current partition that is encrypted to the new empty space and that's maybe why,
03. when trying to expand the encrypted partition with extcv i get a response telling me that there is no free space.

Is there a way past this? Or is file container the way to go?
The encrypted volume will grow beyond 16 TB and i have read somewhere that there is a limitation around 16 TB for a single file on a NTFS. But somewhere else i have read that there is a limitation around 16 EB. That is why i am afraid of trying to run with a file container(not to mention if i would accedently delete that file).

The volume will grow to about 40-60 TB within the next few years. It will be a single volume.

Tested on Windows 2003 Enterprise server R2 x64 SP1. Tried with both GPT and MBR partitions. The final version will use GPT due to the volume size.

Error with TC 6.3a

I get an error "Incompatible version of the TrueCrypt device driver is currently running.
