Well, this is a functionality I need (studying cell structure and processes in biology). I can easily replace the output of lt and gt special character output in an xhtml file. However, that doesn't help me with any other form of output.

Randomize front and back function

Flash Card Master could use an option to randomize front and back sides during a review session, or even the ability to review cards with the back side showing first. Currently there isn't a way to do this without editing the lists manually. A button for either of these functions could also be added to the tool bar - at least for the purpose of review sessions.

Color Coded of Learned Cards

I added some code to change the color of the cards accordingly to how the user has learned the card. Its specifically for the use of when the user has many cards and they can quickly see which ones they need to learn or review.

The code is linked to the "learned, needs review, and not learned" buttons on the review card.

Also added code to change the color of the card as you are making them.

I commented all the code incase you want to change the colors or take it out completely.

Add the ability to edit by right clicking on card to
edit spelling or make changes.

Add sort

Add sort to columns in main screen. Sort by key,
answer and other columns as added.

Add a checkbox on the preview page for "I got this"
when going over the flash cards and there's one that
you know very well the answer and don't think you need
to go over it the next time it will remember that you
knew that card and won't show it the next time.
Of course you'd also need a way to go back and review
the cards that you clicked I got this for.

Menu suggestion

In order to make the menus and toolbars more uniform
you should also add the Edit button to the Tools menu

It would be nice if you added a "Shuffled" review
button to the toolbar.
