It would be great to add the ability to give the embedded device a name which can be identifiable through pinging or when browsing your routers connected devices list. Maybe this would mean supporting the NetBIOS protocol or the current equivalent of this.

I wrote a very crude NetBIOS implementation for MQX which allowed me to ping a name rather than an IP address, so I can probably customize this to fit my requirements for now.

UPnP would also be extremely useful, but I guess that is a bit more heavyweight :)

Amazing job so far though!
