Enhanced Seach Capabilities

Hello, let me say that Foing was exactly what I was
looking for for my site. Although my site is small
right now, I can see some better searching options are
needed in the future. You may notice this on the main
foing site already. Here are my suggestions...

--a dropdown menu to limit the browse list by submitter

--a dropdown menu to limit the browse list by date
submitted, such as "last day", "last week", "last
month", etc.

--a different system that can be impletmented for the
artist and submitter (see above) dropdown lists,
because when the lists gets really long (say a 1000
artists or so) they may be quite daunting. Maybe add
another dropdown list that will limit the original
dropdown list to songs beginning with a letter of the
alphabet (along with an "all" option). So a first list
that contains A-Z and "all" which will limit the second
list depending on what was chosen.

and/or

a type-in option for the artist and submitter dropdown
lists that will limit the list by what you type in. So
if you type in a partial word, the dropdown list will
display all artists/submitters that begin with that
partial word. For example, typing in "white" would
bring up "white stripes" and "white snake" (*shivers).
You could type in a single letter and it would limit
the list to all songs beginning with that letter (like
the above suggestion).

--a way to show songs added since last visit.

--Also, a separate "in-house" search engine for songs
on foing, where you can seach by song name, artist,
album, date submitted, submitter, genre, etc. (also
maybe with size, quality, and length limits, such as:
at least "1mb" , but less than "12 mb")

It will be cool to have a lang_foing.php in phpBB/lang to
translate foing to other language, instead of editing foing
template.

But I'm sure this functionnality is on your todo list ;)

Video Streaming

I love this proggy and use it on many sites, but now I
am to do 3 videos sites and so far nothing comes close,
just was wandering if you can implement this in your
enxt version.

It would be so kewl to be able to add many types of
format for video stream, at the moment I am only using
Real meadia (RM) and AVI files. But soon to look at
doing mpg and a few others..

I'd like to embed an image tag into the artist
description... how do I do it?

At the moment if I use <img src> or <html> tags it
brings it back as code - is there a way to make this field
proces the HTML code?

I really like your portal here colorblind, just got this one
little feature to add for (hopefully) the next release.
Basically, if people are listening to large mp3's they
can't skip any of it, it'd be great if the player could get a
little seek bar added

Sorry about your topic being locked... I see it more
as an addon to phpbb than a fork!!

Here's another suggestion to improve this wonderful

Is it possible that when a user sends a MP3 URL that
it creates a streaming M3U file? and save it in a
directory on the server?

instead of just storing the url's of remote mp3's, it
would be nice for foing to have the capability to upload
mp3's to server and store them there, and putting
that url in the database.

All the layout has to be seperated from the php code,
and the phpBB template system can (has to) be used
for the layout.
