I looked inside
the package and it seems the binaries are missing. Could
someone confirm this? A build from source works.

fdmanager works not as described

The documentation of fdmanager claims, that the arguments
for the fdserver should be listed after the server control
files, e.g.

/.../syndaxdb.fdz --local DBPATH=/tmp/

This does not work, since fdserver expects the server
control
file as the last argument and it seems fdmanager tries to
call the server with the following arguments:

fdserver /.../syntaxdb.fdz --local DBPATH=/tmp/

which is not accepted by fdserver.

references to xxx@framerd.org wrong

In the docs all references point to framerd.org which

An attempt to compile framerd on Mac OS X (ver. 10.2)
failed due to a missing link instruction. The linker
reports
'_gettext' and '_textdomain' as missing symptoms.

QUICK FIX:

add '-lintl' to the LDFLAGS in the toplevel 'makefile'.
Note: 'makefile' will be overwritten by 'configure'.

FIX:

Probalbly this should be fixed with 'automake/configure'
magic. I'll have a look at it.

R.
