The Ubuntu Precise packages for version 5.1.0 (and, presumably, prior versions) require either .deb package libsnmp or libsnmp15.

Oddly (as far as I can tell), libsnmp appears never to have been the name of any Ubuntu package or metapackage, so I'm not sure if libsnmp was the intended value here.

More importantly, beginning in October with Ubuntu Saucy Salamander, libsnmp15, which had been an available package, is no longer available. It has been superseded by libsnmp30, and this should be accepted as an alternate means of satisfying this requirement in order for this package to be compatible with newer versions of Ubuntu.
