In fact the native language is english (start it after some kind of export LANG=C ) and I'm quite confident that more languages can be added. Translation is documented in the development manual, apart from the manuals it's the ordinary java .properties files (e.g. GUILayer/messages.properties and messages_de_DE.properties) which I recommend to edit with the ResourceBundleEditor.

In fact I'm not only trying I18N but also L10N, see the attempt to support US sales tax last releases' swiss Rappenrundung.

Would you be willing to take over e.g. the maintenance for the german version so that I can concentrane on the english original?

I18n of the application

Hello everyone,

I understand that Gnuaccounting caters a lot for the German market but I am willing to step up regarding translating and localizing the application once Gnuaccounting supports multiple languages.

Personally I like the idea of having an application which is run by people around the world.
