Has anybody else noticed that when debugging (I'm using OpenOCD) Memory Monitor views sometimes do not display properly and this can only be rectified by restarting Eclipse? When this happens the Monitors list in the Memory [Monitors] tab/view is blank, the Add/Remove/Remove all buttons appear but no memory monitor can be seen/added etc.
I have not yet found a reproducible test case but was just wondering if anybody else has experienced this behaviour?
I'm using Luna SR2 + CDT 8.6.0 + GNU ARM Eclipse 2.9.3 + OpenOCD 0.8.0 (modified).
As ever this could well be a base CDT rather than a GNU ARM Eclipse issue.
Thanks.
sorry, this slipped totally unnoticed. :-(
yes, the memory monitor sometimes does not display properly, it is known Eclipse problem.
Thanks Liviu - do you happen to have a bug link by any chance? I could not find one.
The whole area of memory viewing in Eclipse (CDT?) seems messy with the two different views (Memory Monitor and Memory Browser), different behaviour, different bugs, different provenances etc.
nope, but I encountered it myself, while working on DAVE4 integration, if you move the memory window somewhere else in the perspective, it no longer refreshes properly. if you reset the perspective to its original layout, it works.
OK - thanks for the tip.
I found that the Memory Browser view is more reliable and in some ways easier to use but as it's read -only it's not always suitable.
