It woudl be useful if the password database was
compatable with Password Safe. There are already
programs for all Windows flavors, Windows CE, PocketPC,
Macintosh, and Linux that utilizes this database format.

    There are several technical difficulties:
The Keyring database is organized in several records, each
is encrypted separately. The PasswordSafe database stores
all keys in one big encrypted record. With keyring I can
decrypt one entry, edit it, and encrypt it again without the
need to process the whole database. With the new fast
encryption methods from pilotSSLeay it would be probably not
a big problem anymore, but it certainly means almost a
    complete rewrite.

Keyring stores password names unencrypted, so that one can
easily check, if a password is in the database, before
entering the password. This is not possible with passwordsafe.

PalmOS up to version 3.0 has no support for plain files,
just for palm databases (PDB), which keyring uses. I think
it is not even possible to upload a passwordsafe database,
if you do not have a memory card slot.

I second this request. Password Safe and Keyring would
complement each other perfectly. Interoperability would be
    good for both.

Perhaps the Password Safe team should be contacted to
    explore possibilities.

I do agree that it would be great if Keyring could be matched with passwordsafe. It would even be awesome!
