Version 0.8 may implement downloading XML files for later offline conversion.
please do implement that...
I previously used google2srt since formatting was not so important and srt is enough, but now I had to manually download XML from youtube since I want to preserve the formatting... if this feature is added then I will return to use google2srt to download XML subtitle from youtube...

Google2SRT works great as an ad-hoc transcriber! I point it at our city council meetings and I get the full text of what was said. But becuase of formatting I tend to rename it .htm, open it there, then copy&paste it back into notepad to save. It would be GREAT to have a straight .txt output with no tags or timestamps or anything, just STRAIGHT text of dialog.

would be useful to be able to do something like:

java -jar Google2SRT.jar --open-url <youtube-url>

and the application would just output the srt file to the current dir or perhaps even:

java -jar Google2SRT.jar --open-url <youtube-url> --output-dir /path/to/srt/output/dir
