Most of PDA devices hasn't midlet manager with JSR support for access to GPS module (Location API). Only way how get access to GPS data is TCP/IP protocol. For example, commercial application GPS Gate can do it. Will be great if GPS Proxy will be have this. I think that this is not big problem.

Hi,

The Pilot plug of a ship AIS is giving the position, heading... of the ship in a "VDO" phrase of a NMEA chain, at 38400 Bds.
Could it be transform to a virtual std NMEA position chain for the software not compatible with this phrase ?

Is it possible that you guys compile a version for the symbian OS?
Actually, Im specifially interested in a version for the S60 v3 (the version that come with nokia phones.) Thanks.

smth like this:

GPS --transmit--> com(x) --receive--> com(y)

it's for devices like digifly cartesio (it needs gps
data, and can send it back, updated with it's own
information)

Hi there!

It would be nice to have support for USB devices in
GPSProxyPC - i have a Garmin 60CSx, with USB
connection, and I can't use it with GPSProxyPC on my
office Windows 2K mashine...

I want my ppc(connecting a gps) share NMEA data using
msn messenger protocol to other ppc(smartphone or
even pc),other ppc can deal the data as a virtual
serial port,so other can monitor my track as the same
time.
