When using an alternative program like simple-scan, scanning of 1200 dpi scans is not a problem.

Gscan2pdf however fails with message

Exception 445:
cache resources exhausted ... OpenPixelCache/4095 at ... Gscan2pdf/Document.pm line 5276 thread 1

This appears to be an Imagemagick /Convert problem.

Thanks for the report. As you say, a problem with Imagemagick. I'll try to reproduce it and display a more helpful error message.
