As far as i understood, exif-support should be working.

If I display photos in nautilus or eog, their orientation appears quite right.

But an import into imagination does not seem to make use of the exif-orientation, so i have to rotate photos manually.

Imagination-Version is 2.1, OS is Ubuntu 9.04

Hello.

We haven't implemented this in Imagination yet because we were lacking some infrastructure to do this. Things changed not long ago and I'm sure this will be added to feature set of Imagination quite soon.

I'm moving this into feature requests section.
