getting default filename in hindi for screenshot

When taking a screen shot in Gnome 2.4 desktop (in
hindi locale), through 'Take a screenshot'', filename
defaults to Hindi. This needs to be fixed to have the
default naming of screenshot.png

Translator credits dont appear

In almost all apps, translator credits - ie name &
email address of translator dont appear.

Unable to login in gdm

When Demo CD is installed & login manager gdm is
enabled, it doesnt take any keyboard input & not
allowing to login. Logging in from virtual terminal works.

How to reproduce the bug
1) I assume that set LANG=hi_IN is default for all the
sessions or put set LANG=hi_IN in your .bash_profile or
.bashrc
else {
First on your xterm set LANG=hi_IN }
then ssh username@localhost then
set LANG=hi_IN
run the script iscii2utf8.pl on an iscii file
it says the below
Malformed UTF-8 character (overflow at 0x2c3130a9, byte
0x63, after start byte 0xbf) in pattern match (m//) at
small.pl line 17.
Malformed UTF-8 character (overflow at 0x2c3130a9, byte

Now unset LANG
then run the same script on the file it doesnot show
the Malformed character error.

Why are the error produced when the LANG is set ?

iscii2utf8.pl-new doesn't work properly on remote connection

If I run it directly on my machine it works fine and no
perl warning etc.
But if I connect to some other machine, connect back to
my machine for there and run the script, it does not work.
Here is the behavior:
The ISCII input file does not get converted much
although diff shows that there is difference of few
bytes in each line.
The perl warning popup when the script is run.
something like this:

All this work perfectly fine on local machine. I tried
setting the same locale as on the local machine in the
remote connection, but same problem occured.
I tried setting the default locale on both, same
problem persisted.

GNOME incorrectly written in Hindi

GNOME is written in many po files as जीनोम instead of
गनोम .

Gnome doesnt start in Hindi on RH 8

Gnome doest start in Hindi on RH8 or with Gnome 2.0.x
releases.
Errors obtained
Nautilus can't be used now, due to an unexpected error
(the dialog has the details button in Hindi )
or
There was a problem registering the panel with the
bonobo-activation
server
The error code is: 3
