The .deb package was build on unstable. Check if it might be possible to build it on a stable - to minimize dependencies.

init.d script is missing in deb

In the current debian package, the init.d script to restart the iscsid is missing. (Maybe another package is needed that is installed on the client.)

initramfs toooooo big

The initramfs for 'typical' desktop installations created with version 0.0.1 is too big: the initramfs cannot be loaded during boot time.
In a typical setup the initramfs might be about 175Mbyte.
There are two places to look for:
1) /lib: at the moment everything is copied in (and: ldd cannot be used!)
2) modules: all available are currently copied in.

get_fstype failes because of typo

The get_fstype() currently failes, because the fstype variable must be upper case: FSTYPE.
(This is eval'ed from the output of the binary fstype.)
