Freenode requires SASL for many mobile ISP. Login can be simple as:

CAP REQ :sasl
AUTHENTICATE PLAIN
AUTHENTICATE <base64 encoded: "\0nickname\0password">
CAP END

Ability to autojoin channels protected with a key

In the profile settings you can set the channels to join after connecting but to get the app to join a channel with a key and not try to change the channels mode using the key text I do:

#:
JOIN #channame keytext

And this works cos even though it fails to join channel "#:" it does not mess with the channels mode after

So basically the feature request is to update the join code to parse and work with the following instead:

#channame +k keytext, #anotherchanname, #yetanotherchanname

Much simply and no need for strange hacks!

Username too short

Looks great, but my username on Freenode.net is 15 char long. Might be handy to make the username handle up to 20 char.

Hey there, if I may add a suggestion, if it's possible
to make jmIrc minimizable, so one can leave it open and
do other stuff in the meantime, because I like idling
in IRC and I'm sure more people do too. Thank you!

Hi I'am using a old Nokia 6310i phone that has 30k
limit in MIDlet size. Could you make relase that istn
anybigger 30k. You could leave out colors, graphics,
encoding features.

Background color/font size

Hey there, I'd like to suggest the background color to
be changeable, as well as a the test input of course,
because it is much more 'watchable'. :) Also if you
could make an option to change the font size because
it'd be better to have more lines in one window. Thank
you, and thank you for making jmIRC the best irc client
for the mobile phones.
