It's not tested yet, if you want to try it based on sourcecode, check out

Meanwhile I have downgraded my JAVA .
So I can't tell you if the above command works.

For those getting that "... damaged ..." error under OS X 10.10, it's because the app is not from the app store or a registered developer and is therefore from an "unidentified developer". Don't give up, use the Apple workaround to generate an exception in the security list for this: control-click in the Finder and select open. Bingo, Bob's your uncle.

Does that help?

Hans Fr. The provided Mac dmg is for the old JAVA6 version and nowdays MacOS run JAVA7 or JAVA8.
I have tried to run the software from command line with an old JAVA version “java6 -jar /Applications/PasswordSafeSWT.app/Contents/Resources/Java/PasswordSafeSWT.jar” but it doesn't work.
Is there any other walk around to start the app with a specific java version?

#4 doesn't run

Ah well, it was my fault: instead of the 64-bit version, I was using the 32-bit version. The PasswordSafeSWT-0.8-linux-x86_64.tar.gz was the correct one for my 64-bit Ubuntu!

Hope that helps someone out there.

#4 doesn't run

Same problem here, exception is

Nothing happens. The same version runs fine on my desktop. Both machines are running Ubuntu 12.04.3. Both machines are running openjdk (although I tried java without success). I've attached the log from each (run with -d). Any suggestions on how to proceed?
