There is no need to check for updates regularly because there are no security updates so nothing is urgent. And updates are generally every 4 months or more, so you won't miss out on anything if you don't check for ages.

Hi. I use hibernation in Windows and sometimes don't do a shutdown/reboot for a very long time, could you please add checking for updates once in a while not only at startup?
