Hantronix 44780 40x2 problem making it work on other comp

First, great plugin!

I have a Hantronix HDM 40216 2x40 display, Winamp
v2.91 and PortIO on both machines.

Problem: Works fine on system 1. (Athlon 1ghz 1gig ram
ECP Win XP Pro) does NOT work on system 2. (Celeron
700, 192 meg ram ECP Win XP Pro)

I get characters on the screen, but it's garbled, I tried
using the same settings from the main box, tried
tweaking the settings, nothing.

I'm not extremely technically proficient with either A>
LCDs, B> Parallel Ports, or C> Windows in general... but
I follow instructions well.

Please help if you can.
