I have read the request about this driver and maybe you could use the mediaportal code.
Mediaportal has this driver and is 100% functional and the code is GNU
The code is here: http://sources.team-mediaportal.com/websvn/listing.php?repname=MediaPortal&path=%2Ftrunk%2Fmediaportal%2FMiniDisplayLibrary%2F#_trunk_mediaportal_MiniDisplayLibrary_ (MiniDisplayLibrary/MiniDisplayPlugin/Drivers/DM140GINK.cs)

Is it possible to use it?

Thanks

Futaba dm-140gink VFD device needs driver

Please add support for the Fatuba dm-140gink VFD device.

This patch adds a configuration option to the CFontzPacket driver called "Watchdog" which is a value, 0-255 seconds, that represents how long until the watchdog will timeout. For those modules configured for ATX power switch use, they will reset the host system if the watchdog isn't reset or disabled before the timeout.

M50530 Controler

Hi,
do You plan to include M50530 controler?
It is very similar to HD44780, only differnet
handshake and pinlayout.
It supports 8x24 characters!
lcd4linux works with it, but my application
only uses lcdproc!
Thanks
include on web pages. I feel that this would be very
useful for some projects, where the goal is to display
information at multiple locations, possibly to the
general public. I realize that this most likely would
need to be implemented in parts, one in LCDd, and a
seperate java file to go on the web that would retrieve
the display information from LCDd.

KS0108 Graphic LCD

Can add the ks0108 graphic lcd to the hardware
version of xmmslcd which outputs > 16 vbars) lcdproc
overuns it's receive buffer (MAXMSG in server/sock.c).

Simply doubling this value (from 8k to 16k) has alleviated
the problem for me, but I see no reason not to have a
buffer 64k big for systems which may buffer this much
data.

In addition, this allows the server to poll at much higher
speeds (TIME_UNIT lowered in server/main.h) without
overflowing this same buffer.

T6963C Controller

Please, can't you add a support for graphic-lcds with
