lcdproc on freebsd 10 does not work with CrystalFontz CFA635 anymore

CrtstalFontz used to have the CFA635 LCD (usb) and it worked
with lcdproc on FreeBSD 10. They updtaed the CFS635 as follows
from one of their support people:

"Hardware-wise, there have been some pretty substantial changes. The previous microcontroller (PSoC) didn't have USB built in so we used an FTDI chip to provide a USB endpoint."

So now lcdproc does not work with the CFA635 anymore, i.e. all we see in
the system log or dmesg:

umodem0: <Crystalfontz America,="" Inc.="" Crystalfontz="" CFA635-USB,="" class="" 2="" 2,="" rev="" 2.00="" 2.00,="" addr="" 3=""> on usbus0
umodem0: data interface 1, has no CM over data, has no break

Am trying to work with them on a fix but......
