day) of the accounting period for lclog. It is
currently first day of month to last day of month and
lclog output is something like this

"Row of headings"
"April 2003"
username ...
...etc

What I want is to set something like
accounting_start_day=14
to get output like this

"Row of headings"
"from 14th April 2003 to 13th May 2003"
username ...
...etc

It would be nice if klcc adds the online time for a defined time area. I mean it so, that i like to know how much time the client was online between the 19 of november to the 19 of december. It should be displayed in the main window. It would be also nice if klcc goes online if i ckick on the plug in the control panel (like kinternet).

replacement for mserver! It does all I want, and then
some.

One thing I miss about one of Mservers Windows clients
is the changing icon in the icon-tray according to the
status of the line. For instance, the client I used had an
Icon depicting a green light when it was online, and a
red light if it was offline.

The icon of WLC2 is nice, but I do not think it would
destroy it too much to add an nonintrusive link-indicator-
light-thingy in one of the corners. I'd do it myself, had
only the source been available.

Run script from client

It would be nice to have a button on the client that
runs a script on the server. For example: I use my
server/gateway with linecontrol alsa as a mailserver
for the local network.
I could do this with a cronjob, but it would be nice if
i could start the script from the client. Maybe also a
notification when the script is ready.

Even better would be integration with fetchmail :)

external script friendly

I used to use 'mserver' however it kept crashing for no
reason and caused a lot of problems in the process.

I came across your software and it looks
good....however the linux command line client does not
return 'script friendly' information. I have had to
write a script to moniter how long the modem has been
connected for and then redial it every 60 minutes.
This was easy with the mserver console client as when
it ran it simply showed data about "what" connection
was up, "how" long it had been up for (in seconds) and
a few details about connection speed and how much data
had been shifted through the connection.

the 'lcc' software returns.....cryptic information. It
wouldn't just be good for external scripts but also
human usage if you could call lcc with another
parameter that caused it to print information about
what connection was up and how long it had been up for
and then exit straight away.

This would be a great feature on otherwise fantasic bit
of software.

Alex

PS. '-x' and '-g' don't help :( Also if there is no
connect -x just hangs. :((

Adressbook

Having a telephone number popped up when there is an
incoming call is great. But when the name is looked up
from a Borland Interbase or MySql database would be
great.
