Debian stable without any problem. I am using an Ines
GPIB-PCI-XL card with a Keithley 196 connected.
My gpib.conf is:

interface {
minor = 0
board_type = "ines_pci_unaccel"
name = "INES"
pad = 0
timeout = T3s
pci_bus = 0
pci_slot = 6
master = yes
}
device {
minor = 0
name = "Keithley196"
pad = 6
sad = 0
eos = 0xa
set-reos = yes
set-xeos = yes
set-bin = no
}

Loading the kernel module ines_gpib gives the
following (normal) messages:
kernel: gpib: registered ines_pci interface
kernel: gpib: registered ines_pci_unaccel interface
kernel: gpib: registered ines_pci_accel interface
kernel: gpib: registered ines_isa interface

Then I started gpib_config and got the following
error message to:
syntax error, unexpected $undefined, expecting $end
or T_INTERFACE or T_DEVICE
input error on line 1 of /etc/gpib.conf
The corresponding kernel log gives this messages:
kernel: gpib: (debug) request module returned 256
kernel: gpib0: exiting autospoll thread
kernel: ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:00:06.0[A] -> GSI 17
(level, low) -> IRQ 169

However I tested the basic communication with the
Keithley and it seem to work. The program ibtest
gives some reasonable output when reading from the
Keithley.
But I get a lot of kernel messages:
kernel: ines gpib: fifo error
