enable saving current changes without closing

The shortcut <ctrl>-s would be nice. Funktion like closing current file with changes made, but without closing.
Save as ... doesn't work with the current open file, it only generates several tmp-files, and leaves the open file unchanged.

2 Work-arounds are possible so long:
1. closing and confirming the changes, open it again (retype password ...).
2. Save as ... to another directory (you habe to retype the password again for 2 times ...), copy the file back to origin location.

You see, it's naggy ...
