How do I use this plugin??? I can open the view but I want to configure regexps, colours etc. And can I use it with the existing console and/or redirect output that is printed to the console to the logviewer view?

It would be good to have "Open With -> Logfile Viewer" menu and assign file extension (e.g. *.log) to Logfile Viewer.

Tailing start/stop status

The status of the Tailing (Start/Stop) should be remembered while closing and reopening Eclipse.
Also "Refresh current logfile" should not switch on active tailing, it has currently the same function as "Start tailing" (when not switched on).

Renamed Tabs are not saved

After closing and reopening Eclipse the renamed tabs have their original names.

Find Shortcut

Please add the Ctrl+F shortcut to open the "Find/Replace"-Window while in the Logfile-View.

Word-wrap

Hello,

First of all, congratulations to all team members for the nice and handy tool.

One feature I feel missing is the word-wrap/preferred column width - whichever is possible from your end. Hope it would be considered in future releases.

Log-Filter

I would like to have configurable filters for logfiles. The amount of my DEBUG output makes it hard to find Warnings and Errors, even though they are highlighted.
This is a standard functionality that can be found in many log viewer tools.

Thank You for this usefull plugin!

It would be nice to have not only highlight action. For example an action "Add Todo Task" is very usefull to show the highlighted line in the task view. I saw the function in plugin LogWatcher (http://graysky.sourceforge.net/).

Drap and drop

It would be nice to enable the drap and drop from the navigator/package explorer to the logfile view
A simple functionality but very useful when the files you want to tail/view are in the navigator view

Improve regular expression for highlighting

The current regular expressions for file highlighting don't work very well and I think would be much better if you used Java's regular expression libraries. Currently, there is no way to set it to a case insensitive expression so you have to define new rules for every case you want matched. Using java's library, I could simply add a ?i to the end of the value string and voila.
