Would really like to see this as well - I rarely look at the menu bar (I'm usually in fullscreen apps), so I prefer a badged icon that would show up in the cmd+tab switcher. Thanks!

Notification Center support

Allow for quick preview of message

Add support for Exchange servers

It would be great if there were support for biff'ing of Exchange mailboxes. Not all Exchange admins turn on IMAP support, or they may make it more difficult to access (my sysadmin hides IMAP behind a firewall, for example, while the Exchange protocol is visible to the outside world), so being able to directly biff the Exchange server (rather than going through IMAP) would be great.

Not entirely sure how easy this is since Exchange is proprietary, but hopefully there are some open-source APIs for this that you can tie into.

Add native 64-bit support

MacBiff will currently run on 64-bit systems in 32-bit mode. If compiled for 64-bit, MacBiff crashes when receiving mail. Consider adding native 64-bit support.

Since I like very much the new icon, well, most for an aestethic motivation, is it possible to add a preference to ALWAYS show the icon in menu bar, like when there is new mail?

IMAP IDLE support

Maybe, I am missing something, but I presume that adding support for IMAP IDLE server command (just like Apple did starting from Leopard's (if memory serves) Mail.app) would be just great and won't require checking mail servers at any regular intervals at all.

Updates are great... any chance of bringing back the curly/straight brackets surrounding the mail count - at least as an optional feature - so that the mail checking process has visual feedback?
