Foward button

I have implemented the forward button in synote player. I set the forward seconds to 5 seconds. Please test the function for different browsers and media players, especially the player behaviour when the time left is less than 5 seconds.

In addition, forward button may need a short cut key for it. Please find out which key combination is the best.

New JW Player

I have update the JW Player to the latest version 5. Could you please test the play, pause, rewind, stop and other synchronize functions when playing use JW player. Thanks.

Unicode8

We have to specifically write in the user guide that "when you upload the transcript in .txt or .srt file, please make sure that the file is saved in UTF-8 or unicode8 format". Otherwise, you might get some invalid characters.

Viascribe XML format test

Please upload the xml with different invalidation of format, such as:
1. Missing tags
2. Missing attributes
3. Invalid information in tags and attributes
I don't think this is quite important. After all, I don't think anybody would change the xml file after it is generated by Viascribe.

Delete group permission on a recording

Please test: in show multimedia resource page, owner and admin can see the group permission on this multimedia. Click on the delete button behind the permission display can delete this permission.
Please also test if the add permission function when creating a new multimedia recording is till working.

Test list of group

Please test if a member of the group can see the group when group list is shown. The groups that listed should be:
1. a shared group
2. groups whose owner is current logged in user
3. groups of which the current logged in user is a member

XML validation test

In revision 442, please test:
1. Missing "media" tag or "file" attribute in the "media" tag, or "file" attribute is empty
2. Missing any attribute in "timing" tag
3. VSTextData tag is empty
4. "begin" or "end" value is greater than the length of transcript
Any other invalid things can you image, please test it. :=)

XML schema for Viascribe

I think to check if the tags are missing in uploading xml is very very difficult. Is it possible to find out the XML schema which defines the viascribe xml and use this schema to check if the uploading xml is valid?

Transcript and Presentation permission test

Please test if a recording with write permission and a non-owner logged in, can he or she edit and delete the slides. Also pay attention to permission in transcript editing.

r0438 multimedia permission for groups

Please test the list of permission of groups to each allocated group in the multimedia "show" page. Only after the owner of multimedia or admin logged in, can the "show" page display the groups for which the multimedia permissions have set. If the logged in user is also the owner of the group, users can click the link to "show" userGroup page.
