~/Library/Containers/com.israelbrewster.EPunchClockStd/Data/Library/Application Support/Israel Brewster/E-PunchClock Std/E-PunchClockStd.dat~/Library/Containers/com.israelbrewster.EPunchClockStd/Data/Library/Application Support/Israel Brewster/E-PunchClock Std/E-PunchClockStd.dat

Where the leading ~ indicates the home folder of the user that has been running EZPunch. Simply restore this file to its original location (the path will be created the first time EZPunch is launched, if it doesn't exist already) with EZPunch NOT running, and the next time you launch EZPunch it should see all the users and punches.

#1 Unistall

I'm trying to restore data to the ez punch system. I had to restore my computer and it erased all the applications . I have a complete back up of all the files on a offsite backup program, but I'm not sure what files contain the users and punch data and how to bring that data into a new install. Any help would be greatly appreciated , I love the program and I'm happy to donate to support the cause.

Thanks
It worked.

#1 Unistall

On windows, the process is slightly more complicated, as you have to edit the registry. This can be done by performing the following steps:

1) From the start menu, choose run
2) type regedit and hit enter
3) Navigate to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->israelbrewster->epunchclockstd and click on it. You should get a list of a bunch of settings in the right pane. If you don't, then you have not clicked on "epunchclockstd"
4) find the key named "passwordProtect" and double-click it to bring up the value editor
5) change the value from "true" to "false"
6) hit ok and exit regedit.

At this point you should be able to launch EZPunch without any password restrictions and get into the user manager to set up a new admin user or change the password on the existing user.

If that doesn’t work, then follow the steps above but delete the entire epunchclockstd key when you get to step 3. I've had some reports of this being necessary.

#1 Unistall

Hi, I have simular problem .I use EZPunch Standart and I delete my user name which is the admin.I am locked out from making changes. It giving me options to put pasword but the other usersare not admin. What you probably want to do is simply delete the preferences file, which can be found in ~/Library/Containers/com.israelbrewster.EPunchClockStd/Data/Library/Preferences Just delete any files in that directory that start with com.israelbrewster. To completely uninstall EZPunch, delete the entire ~/Library/Containers/com.israelbrewster.EPunchClockStd directory.

#1 Unistall

First I must say how much I like your program EZPunch. Very good.

I set it up and blocked users from access and then wanted to switch the order so the admin showed up last in the list. When I deleted the admin and then recreated (me) the program no longer recognizes my password. I am locked out from making changes. I deleted the program and did a fresh install but the data file with user names and passwords is still someplace on my computer affecting the program. I would like to start over. Could you tell me where the data file is placed so I can delete it? Thank you,
