Please don't bother with a fix for MaxLauncher error code 0x800401D0.
I used Macrium Reflect v.8 free home version to restore an earlier backup of my system, where MaxLauncher no longer has any errors.
Thanks for being here to help with support, MaxLauncher is my favorite app launcher to date.

My mention of MaxLauncher error code 0x800401D0 happened with my installed version, as well as with later testing with a portable version.

MaxLauncher has the error code 0x800401D0 popup with both copy and paste of a button, however it does the copy, does cut and paste, with cut leaving its original button in its place.

What I have tried for repairing this problem is as follows:

A lot of searching for a remedy.
Repair system using Run sfc /scannow
Uninstall MaxLauncher, Restart PC, Reinstall MaxLauncher
Restart PC
Running minimal applications, none having to do with copyboard.

Error Loading 'portable.cfg' file

I installed MaxLauncher in portable mode. I have put a shortcut in the StartUp folder to load automatically when I login. However, every time I login I get an error that 'portable.cfg' could not be loaded. The full error message and the content of my 'portable.cfg' file are below. Why is MaxLauncher looking for the 'Themes' folder under 'C:\Windows\System32'?

I found this problem is, in fact, a bug in MaxLauncher.

Bug: Scrolling "up and down arrows", of my 68-Data-file(s) collection list, show and work well with MaxLauncher version 1.26.0.0.

My 68-Data-file(s) collection list does not show Scrolling "up and down arrows" in MaxLauncher version 1.27.0.0 or in higher versions, e.g., up to current 1.31.0.0, whereas they will only display a small fraction of my 68-Data-file(s) collection list, with no Scrolling "up and down arrows".

To replicate the bug, one need only need go to MaxLauncher's Menu\Data\Add Current Data File, repeat "Add Current Data File", until the Scrolling "up and down arrows" do or don't appear, for display list of data file that extend beyond view.

Data files are seen organized, but is not scrolling to them.

Data files are seen organized, but is not scrolling to them.

Am not able to see Maxlauncher's entire data-file list, it goes way beyond what it is allowing me to see. Its bottom scrolling bullet is gone, was used to see more of data-file list.

I have exhausted all possible remedies on my part, to no avail, e.g., BleachBit /cleaner, System Repair, System Recovery, I have run both MalwareBytes and Avast Antivirus for any possible virus or malware.
Help would be appreciated.

I want you to lengthen the display time of the name field.

I have one request.
I wrote a slightly long explanation in the name field, but the display time is short and I can only read it halfway.
I want you to be able to adjust the time in the settings.

This is a very strange occurrence because the empty file is actually being loaded (unlike in the old versions) which means it has the correct format. Only problem is that the data in it has been deleted. And the only way this can happen is that the good mld file was overwritten with a new empty mld file. I checked the code and there is nothing in there that may cause this. Anyway, sorry to hear this happened. Please let me know if it happens again.
