Disc Files (dms)

I tried to load a disk file (.dms) and it shows up on the workbench. but when i
click on it i get the following error in the log window:

'the icons have no default tool'

ERROR - BlitPlanar2Chunky() has minterm0x3, wich i don't handle. Using
fallback routine

Can someone explain how to use disk files.

I was trying to look at some demos from a competition

Using Workbench 3.1, don't know the version since no about box. I have a
registered workbench

Using Cloanto cross platform Amiga Forever software and
MaxUAE 8.22. This is all new to me so....

Dropped the rom.key, the kick130.rom (renamed kick.rom)
and the wb130.adf (renamed df0.adf) into MaxUAE folder.

Getting a scrolling 'Illegal Instruction.....Your Amiga
progr....' message (this window is partially blocked by the
main UAE screen so I can't read the whole message).

Is this common ? The read.me mentions problems with
Cloanto ROM users. The FAQ also mentions :

"Q: When UAE starts up, it says "Illegal instruction: 00f8"
(many times). Why?
A: That's because your Kickstart ROM was compiled for the
68020.
(could also happen when there's a bug in UAE)"

Is this my problem?

PS is it worth running an earlier mac UAE in classic with the
Cloanto software ?

i'm using kick rom v3.1

this happens on everything i tried: Wings, RS1 demo,
SWIV and some other games.

i don't have a workbench, so i don't know about it.

what is the file you need, and where do i find it?
there is no such file on my HD.

Any info on using Cloanto ROMS and Workbenches? I get key file
errors and the like, thanks
