The latest version of Mimer doesn't work in Visual
Studio 2005 beta 2. Are there any plans to develop an
update the works with the new version? If so what's the
schedule?

Dear Mimer Team

Mpm is a very good product for managing provider as I
look for a long time.

As I follow the manual to overwrite the code. I got some
issues.

SqlCommandBuilder.DeriveParameters() does not map to
class MpmCommandBuilder. Would you plan to do it or
any suggest replacable options?

Parameter filter features

It would be nice to be able to restrict the translated
parameter marker prefixes for the filter. You should be
able to specify that the only prefix allowed in the SQL
statement is ':' or '@' or '?'. This would help maintaining
a strict syntax policy when creating the SQL statements
in a project with multiple programmers.

When using named parameters, it would also be nice if
you could ask the filter to do a runtime check that all
parameter names are unique. Multiple occurrences of the
same parameter name will give you problem when
translating a statement to ODBC or OleDb which cannot
have named parameters.

Send a config file name as argument to MpmAdmin.exe

I want to be able to send a config file name as
argument to MpmAdmin.exe. This way I can right click
on a config file and open it with MpmAdmin, that is not
possible today.

If Mpm could support metadata information that would
be super. Tools and advanced applications could then
query for information about tables and so on!

Connection string keyword lookup

It should be possible to query the system for common
MpmConnection.ConnectionString keywords such as
username and password.

This would allow application that prompt the user for
this information to be written in a portable manner.

Connection string support

It would be really nice if each plugin knew about the
format of connection strings. This way the user could
get assistance in creating the connection strings.

A class for each plugin which maps to a PropertyGrid
would be ideal.
