Please, add an option for closing a document tab with a mouse double click.

This became somewhat of a conditioned reflex from working with other programs/platforms and I always have to double-check why it isn't working in medit (v1.2.0, in PeppermintOS -- (L)Ubuntu based).

Which programs do that? It sounds really strange, as people often double-click accidentally, I am reluctant to add such an option. Middle-click does close the tab, would that work for you?

If I remember correctly, both Notepad++ and UltraEdit allow you to do this, among many others.

Please consider that nowadays most mice have wheels instead of middle buttons, making it really awkward if not downright impossible to click accurately with them. In my experience, it is also rather difficult to accidentally double-click, but couldn't this be made optional? Or, alternatively but less conveniently, can I suggest jointly clicking LMB and RMB for this?

    Thanks for listening.
