From what I understood, shift is for searching directories. Well, what I said above still applies, because as for dos u can't have in a same directory a file and a directory with the same name, so IMHO this behaviour makes no sense anyway. I would make the search case insensitive ANYWAY. Thanks (sorry it looks I can't delete or change a previous ticket ?!)

Keyboard search function should be case INsensitive, icons should blink

With keyboard search I mean, when u start typing something in an opened Ambient window. IMHO it should rather be case INSENSITIVE, while it is case SENSITIVE instead (namely, suppose I have a file named Control in a mess of icons and I want to start typing con... to find it quickly. I find it annoying having to use the Shift, well, I'm sure most ppl will agree here lol). Or possibly, this behaviour should be made user selectable as an option in the prefs. ALSO, the highlight method used often is not very visible and doesn't really catch the eye, when there are many icons. So I strongly suggest to make the matching icon BLINK instead (always following Amiga Workbench behaviour)

Current dir of Execute Command is always RAM: ?

Not sure this isn't rather an actual bug... Apparently, ambient Execute Command menu command has always Ram disk: as current dir. This IMHO is wrong. The current dir should be (as in Amiga Workbench) the path of the opened window which is active when the menu command is invoked. Here (at least) it appears being always ram:. In fact, if I open, say, morphos: and invoke Execute Command ->ed something.txt, the file something.txt is saved in ram:

Let the user configure the listers background colors

Unfortunately it looks like there's no way to configure the background colors used for the listers. I would like one could choose individually the RGB colors used for either the odd and for the even lines, to better suit one's tastes and also for ergonomic reasons.

Shift+double click on a directory to open it in a new window

I think it would be handier to simply shift-double click on a drawer icon/directory to open in in a new window (when the prefs are set to use always the same window), instead of having to pick up the respective menu command for that everytime. Of course this behaviour could be made as an option, if somebody really doesn't like it... or let the user choose the qualifier other than shift that he /she prefers.

Dropping icons onto panels icons, as arguments

I think one should be able to drop an icon/file onto a panel icon to start the latter passing the former as argument, as it happens with AmiDock. For example, I have a hex editor icon in one panel and I want to drop a file onto it to open the file with the editor.

Panels: selected icons should blink (as Amidock does)

I would like an option to blink selected icons in Ambient Panels, as Amiga AmiDock does.

More options for highlight of selected icons

Ambient panels can offer a wide range of choices as for how to highlight a selected icon (negative, colorize, lasso, blur, etc.) while Ambient has just one, i. to colorize. I would like the same bunch of options to be available even for Ambient icon display. This would even be more logical IMHO.
