sort by date descending while maintaining dreading

hello. Would like to be able to sort by date descending without disabling article Threading. Either by clicking on the date column while retaining the threading or adding an option in the sort dialogue of the options dialogue to sort ascending or descending by date.

Another great addition would be SSL support. Also updating the newsgroup lists to show a count of unread messages for each newsgroup would be fabulous.
