i saw on the netdev mailing list some posts about the
merge of the mpls patches to the standard linux kernel,
but this was in 2004 at the beginning of the 2.6 series.

How is the state now ? Have you plans to integrate it
into the kernel soon that its mainline ?

It would be nice to have a MIB support for MPLS, which
allows to manage label infomation per SNMP.

I'm just thinking up loud here, but support for Layer-2
switching over Layer-3 would be really fantastic.

Although I have no idea if this is hard to do or not.
