<acronym> tag support html

How easy or how hard would it be to add <acronym> tag
support:

<acronym title="Multivalent Rocks!">MR</acronym> in an
html file would render MR underlined with a dotted line
and when the mouse is over MR a little temporary popup
displays "Multivalent Rocks!" (or any other title
attribute specified by the tag) and the title is
displayed until the mouse is moved off of the acronym MR.

I am looking at using multivalent in a help file system
written in html and it does everything and more than I
need except for acronym support which would make life a
lot easier.
