VMWare was proving a little tetchy so I've swapped to hardware.

I am testing with an old Dell R310 server, with an LSI card (non-raid IT mode) connected to a Promise SATA array and it seems to be working well. I've left it wiping 3 drives for the moment. I will fill the array up later and see what happens.

I did email sales@greatengland.co.uk about a license but have not had anything back; do you have an alternate contact?

Thanks
Dan

Install issues

Hi Dan, make sure storage device for esxi virtual host is presented as SATA and BIOS ACHI mode is usd. Do not use EFI/UEFI to install NDW server.
NDW has been tested to work with VirtualBox and VMware player.
You can also install it on a standard Dell Desktop PC which has SATA HDD installed.
Let me know how it goes?

Install issues

I've tried installing the latest NDW 4.5 ISO on a VM (esxi 6,7) and did "nuke" when prompted.
Rebooting results in failure and "dracut" issues

Technical Issues

As of now, I can't verify other systems. I don't have any other system at my current location. At my next opportunity, I will grab a different system and provide an update. We have an upcoming release in final stages this new release has latest microcode as well as updated Linux kernel. This will certainly be fixed in the upcoming release.

However, our commercial version is always up-to-date and all bugs are already fixed. If you are interested in getting commercial version please get intouch with support team.

Technical Issues

While attempting to use your product against HP ProBooks G3, I kept receiving a message to update the microcode and kernel panic.
anyway, i will answer your question. NDW by default automatically prints HDD serial as barcode on each label. However labels can be tweaked and are highly customizeable.

Technical Issues

NIS currently prints by default the serial number of the motherboard / system.
