&lt;p&gt;When using the "Format JSON" feature all line endings are LF only.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If possible please determine what the current settings are for Notpadd ++ regarding New Documents found at:&lt;br/&gt;
Settings --&amp;gt; New Document --&amp;gt; Format (Line Ending)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;And if the selection is Windows please include a carriage return before the line feed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So the new line ending would be: CR LF&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This will allow cut and paste on a windows envrionment to maintain the line returns correctly.&lt;/p&gt;
