I corrected it my adding &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;$data = '';&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;just before a "while (!feof($fp))" loop. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Minor thing....the class starts with "&amp;lt;?" and at first did not work on my servers - - had to change an apache startup parameter to make it recognize the short form.  Starting with "&amp;lt;?PHP" makes the code more portable.&lt;br /&gt;
