clicking on the name of a table should send the table "to front". It should also scroll it into view if not visible. I'll try this by doing focus() to the table node.

Another thought is to use Tablesection.drawStatic all the time and set the onclick handler to change the cell's html to the appropriate change UI. It seems that directly setting html for a table is actually faster than using the DOM Table API (insertRow, insertCell). And ie is really limited in how it allows the DOM to be used (e.g., can't add innerHTML to a row object).

one complex thing in the current implementation is using displayObjects to generate cell html and handle events. Noting that we can grab both row and column information from the cell object itself (TD.cellIndex-1 and TD.parentNode.rowIndex, respectively), we can determine the property (and thus all the other stuff) from a generic event handler. We could then place the event handler at the table level, and have that handler dispatch the appropriate handler for the cell.

need menu selection to format columns

mozilla overrides some keyboard shortcuts (and add-ons override others) which is really annoying.

Is there a way to handle the shortcuts prior to mozilla and then consume the event?

Simplify and genericize _mgr.createSection()

Move as much code from _mgr.createSections into the section code themselves.

Would be great if you didn't have to pass type in as a string (to _mgr.createSections()), but perhaps as the class object or something. That way, we could subclass the existing section types and be able to create them as well.

I don't think there's much value to it, so any code that sets or manages it could be removed to simplify and make space.
See where/if it's used first.

Clear scratch section results

It's currently a manual process if you want to clean out the := ... results in scratch sections. A simple button would help a lot.

make "view source" menu selection

If you get stuck for some reason without the ability to save your work (e.g., loading the objecsheet over the web and then wanting to save your work), there should be an easy way to "view source" to allow you to copy the text into a text editor and save that.

Currently, the only way to add and delete rows and columns is by dragging the resize bars.

Columns are particularly difficult to insert and delete

Suggestions: Have a small button bar below each column name: <=+ x +=> (add before, delete, add after)

Currently, the only way to cut cells is through keyboard shortcut. When they are overridden by the application (e.g., by Mozilla add-ons), then you lose the capability.

Suggest adding "cut" to edit menu.
