<div class="markdown_content"><p>I do like the openfi approach to simply navigating our <br /> own music library with our own organization (i.e. custom <br /> directories/folders).</p> <p>But I still think that the song titles shown in the <br /> directory navigation (on the DMP1 deck display) should <br /> be the mp3 tag titles and not the mp3 filenames.</p> <p>We shouldn't be forced to use mp3 filenames that are <br /> precisely the song title (whereas the available mp3 tag <br /> title is precisely the song title). I might choose a <br /> naming convention for the mp3 filename on my personal <br /> computer as "Meshuggah - catchthirtythr33 - <br /> Shed.mp3" for example. Then I should be able to drop <br /> this onto the DMP1 HDD without having to rename <br /> filenames. During song playback, I notice it is using the <br /> tag title while in directory navigation it uses the <br /> filename -- could just use the tag title to name the song <br /> every time. Also there's no need to see the .mp3 file <br /> extension in the navigation directory, but that is a minor <br /> point I admit.</p></div>
