How about a simple sync mechanism utilising wget?
You could set up Apache on your computer to serve your
mp3 folder, as well as a script to generate the
database.
When sync time came around, OpenFi could run a simple
shell script that grabs the database from your server,
compares it, and wget's the files that it doesn't have
already.
