opnldev could show a popup menu when click on tab header with three options:

- Close: Close current tab
- Close all: Close all tabs
- Close other: Close all tabs minus the current.

Search dialog discomfort

I think that search keys are discomfort because when I press control+f openldev shows the dialog then write a word and search but when I press some time after control+f, openldev hide the search dialog when it would put the focus on the search entry again.

I think the better way to do the search is:

I press control+f and openldev show the search dialog and focus it.

I write the word and press enter, then openldev search the word and hide the dialog.

Pressing control+g search the next occurrence in the document.

When I press control+f later, openldev shows the search dialog again.

What do you think??

Weird behaviour selection/copy-paste

There is some weirdness in the selection and copy/pasting of text in the editor.

A triple-click anywhere in the line selects the entire line, yet not the \n at the end. This is a bit of a pain, since pasting the line somewhere else does so without the \n. This is not very convenient.

If I "manually" select an entire line + \n, and want to paste the same line a line below (i.e. duplicate a line), the editor won't let me paste there, presumably since it thinks I'm trying to paste the line onto itself, since the selection goes past the \n. This is somewhat annoying since I can only duplicate lines using Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V^2 or by selecting without the \n and adding it by hand afterwards.

Or maybe this behaviour is standard and I'm spoiled by other editors?

I like to use devhelp to find the method's definition. I want to develop a plugin with snippets support but It is not very easy without devhelp because I need find in a lot of files if I want to do something. It is onl an idea

easily hide the left and bottom panels

I have a laptop with a small screen and I need make the source panel big by hiding all the other panels. Perhaps like gedit (F9 hides left panel and control+F9 hides bottom panel) or making double click in the tab title, hide all other panles like eclipse.

I think that a necessary feature is show in the left pane a tree with all functions (structures, enum, etc) in the actual document.

Support snippets like the gedit plugin. It is a very good feature that openldev needs (IMO).

I have a library for this too.

Word Completion with Popup

Need a popup window showing various words, not only one word like now.

I'm developing a completion popup for GtkTextView. If you use GtkTextView or GTkSourceView we can add it to openldev in the core or in a plugin, adding popup when a document is opened and removeing then removes it.

The popup supports various events, not only word completion. We can develop a lot of providers for word completion, c tags completion, snippets etc.

(Project name must be alphanumeric!)

Is there anyway that you can allow certain characters
in project names? I'm trying to make a project name
along the lines of "xx_xxxx" and it won't let me. :(

When adding a new file to my project (source file) I
expected the file would show up under Sources in the
Project view.

Also it would be nice if the popup menu in the Project
section allowed you to add a file rather then going
through file->new file
