I've unpacked the opensharepoint_v03.tar.gz <br />
file to the public folder on my Apache server.</p>
<p>Following the instructions in INSTALL.TXT, I ran <br />
INSTALL.PHP from <a href="http://localhost/public/sharepoint" rel="nofollow">http://localhost/public/sharepoint</a> and <br />
received the following error.</p>
<p>Forbidden<br />
You don't have permission to <br />
access /public/opensharepoint/method=&quot;post&quot; on this <br />
server.</p>

<p>Apache/1.3.27 Server at localhost Port 80</p>
<p>Now, I am the root user and admin for this box (but a <br />
newbie at it so please forgive me).<br />

<p>I'm using Apache 1.3.27 on Win2000 with the MySQL <br />
database. </p>
<p>So, when the INSTALL.PHP process didn't work, I <br />
attempted to create the DB using phpmyadmin. The DB <br />
created successfully, I imported the DB.SQL as directed, <br />
and configured the config.inc.php file as instructed.</p>
<p>I was then able to receive the login prompt, but the <br />
default password and/or username didn't work. They are <br />
the ONLY user in the imported DB user table.</p>
<p>So, where do I begin to fix this? I like the looks of the <br />
project, and really want to try it out. Please help!</p></div>
