#4 XEmacs P4 menu
Im using XEmacs 21.4 (patch 12) on sparc-sun-solaris2.8.
The separators in the P4 menu are showing up as "--"
and the menu is taking up so much room that I can't see
the items at the bottom of the menu because they are
going off the edge of the screen (my screen resolution
is 1280x1024).

It looks like the only answer to this is to reorder the
menu! I guess I'll try hacking it myself to answer this bug
and the bug I filed.

I don't use Xemacs, and this may be long past moot, but do the changes I mentioned in http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1219894&group_id=58201&atid=486881 help? (That's bug 1219894.)

It helped me. I hacked a little bit of the menu to shorten it to fit on my screen. I suggest that that be done officially to better organize the menu into a more logical (and wider rather than longer) form. The base problem here is that the menu code in (some) Emacsen doesn't know how to make a multi-column menu, so the only workaround is to make sure your menus are short and crisp. The P4 menu has gotten too long.
