I/O Error : ... Invalid argument

Above error is systematic as soon as one attempts to load a _valid_ capture file of which path contains characters with accents.
Eg. error will occur while loading "c:\Répertoire\capture.cap", while it won't (and file will be properly loaded) once renamed as "c:\Repertoire\capture.cap"

Really annoying for non-native English speakers...

packetyzer 5.0 cant find plugins

standardinstallation of packetyzer5.0 dont found any registered plugin even the files are in the plugin/0.99.0 plugin/0.10.10 folder , packetyzer 4.x maybe too , packetyzer 0.74 found his plugins...

Bug loading gzipped packet captures

Packetyzer (I have tested both 4.0.3 and 5.0.0) appear to successfully load a (tcpdump) packet capture which has been gzipped (with a .gz extension), except it will not display the full number of packets - it displays about half of them. This can be worked around by un-gzipping the packet capture and loading that instead.

It suggests to me that the gzipped file size is being used as the packet capture file size, and packet loading stops after the gzipped file length is reached, instead of recalculating the packet capture length from the ungzipped contents...?

memory allocation problem

version 4.0.3 cant allocate memory sporadically to show
a packet (even 80 bytes) after a while of working (4.4%
decode mem used) under our win2000 test system, while
there is surely still plenty memory available.

Cannot use capture filters in 4.0.1

Any capture filter entered and enabled into "capture
filters" tab returns "Error: unable to compile filter: syntax
error". At the same time the very same filter definitions in
"manage filters" window are reported as valid when "test
filter" button is used. The problem exists even for the
simplest filters like "ip.src == 192.168.0.1".

Access violation after TCP reassemble

Ver 4.0.0.
After checking the Allow subdissector to reassemble
TCP stream and viewing capture files including diameter
protocol. There is a Access violation in Libetheral.dll and
Packetyzer crashes.

Ver 3.0.3 fails to save edit changes to packet

Edit changes made to a packet in a previously
obtained .CAP file (e.g.; source IP, Dest. IP, and source
MAC address) are NOT saved when using SAVE or SAVE
AS. Rather, this app re-saves the original .CAP file data
and discards all edit changes made.

When trying to insert a packet:

And then straight after:
- Abnormal program termination

And then the app crashes

When trying to send a packet:

After clicking "send one", nothing actually happens...

Userfriendly packet editing

At the moment, entering the IP and details for a packet
involves writing it in HEX, how about a nice little editor
so we can wirte it normally and the app puts it into the
packet for us? Thatd be great...
