I'm trying to install libpfm to a local directory without having rights to access "/sbin" where the ldconfig utility is installed, so the install command:

make install PREFIX=/home/user/libpfm

throws an error:

make[1]: ldconfig: Command not found

libpfm 4.3.0, GNU/Linux (ROSA Marathon), x86
