php-clamav for php7

Hi,

Is this can be used for the server running with php 7.1. I am failing with the configurations. Please assist.

I am getting the following error when a function is called via web:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function cl_info() in php file, Stack trace: #0 {main.......

This is the script I have called vai web

Is it possible to install CLAMAV trough FTP?

php-clamav Installation:

tar xvzf php-clamav-0.XX.tar.gz
cd php-clamav-0.XX
phpize
./configure --with-clamav
make
cp modules/clamav.so /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/
(restart Apache)
service httpd restart

Clamav updated and therefore the clamav.so is now version 7.1.1. php-clamav is still looking for version 6.x, and is thus broken. My workaround is to create a symbolic link clamav.so.6 -> clamav.so.7.1.1 and now the program appears to work. But I don't know if there are incompatibilites between v.6 and v.7.

So...

1: is this an appropriate and safe workaround?
2: is there a better one?

I found some setting I can play with. specifically clam.dbpath="/usr/local/Cellar/clamav/0.98.4/share/clamav"

this is the directory where the db files are located it seems... This changes the error to can't allocate memory...

Hi, i've taken an interest into using clam together with PHP and as such I'm trying to install the extension on osx (yeah i know).

I've managed to install clamav with brew (osx package manager) and configured it according to this information (socket) https://gist.github.com/paulspringett/8802240

Then I compiled and installed the extension according to this url http://www.sitepoint.com/zf-clamav/

the result is that phpinfo() shows the extension to be loaded, but it's clamav section show the following errors. I'm hoping this is obvious to you as I am stumped on how to proceed. I think it somehow cannot find the socket...

note that this is true for cli as apache phpinfo's output. I'm working on php55 at the moment.

PHP 5.4.x dependency problem

With PHP 5.4.x the phpapi-20100525 is provided, but php-clamav still depends on phpapi-20090626 which is only within PHP 5.3.x
A new build with support / dependency for phpapi-20100525 is needed.

Include upload.php example in distro
