Searching for the DocumentId for example yang2008 is a good improvement for the search interface.

phpBib should be available in different languages, as for now only German in available.
Add functions for multi-langugae interface.
Abstract all language-based output to array.

Add Supplementary Material

There should be a function to add additional material like pdf files, cif files and so on as supplementary material to an article.
